Summary

Amends the

Privacy Act 1988
to provide for a new criminal offence for those who harass the children of celebrities or any other person due to that person’s vocation or occupation, through their attempt to photograph or record the child’s image or voice, whether by following or lying in wait for the child.

We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of country throughout Australia and acknowledge their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to the people, the cultures and the elders past, present and emerging.
